Backups

Open Settings and choose Export backup before deleting the app or moving to another device. Restore backup replaces the current local library with the selected JSON backup.

Text import

Quiet Recall accepts comma, tab, semicolon, or colon separators. One card belongs on each line, with the prompt first and answer second. Quoted fields can contain the separator.

On-device AI

Explain with AI appears only on supported devices running iOS 26 or later when Apple's on-device language model is available. It does not require an account or developer API key.

AI card generation requires iOS 26, Apple Intelligence enabled and the model ready, a supported language and region, and an Apple Intelligence-capable iPhone: iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max, or any iPhone 16 or later.

If generation is unavailable, Quiet Recall explains why. Manual card creation and text import remain available. Generated cards are editable drafts and are not added until you confirm them.
